CLIENT GOALS

The ballclub wanted to renovate the Club Lounge to enhance fan experience and increase capacity by using less field view oriented fixed seating. Completing construction between the completion of the 2018 season and Opening Day 2019 (April 1) was crucial. Improvements to the Club Lounge was specifically aimed at season ticket holder attraction and retention.

SOLUTIONS

New televisions and an upgraded sound system were installed, along with a 60-foot bar area, floor-to-ceiling, retractable glass doors, and increases in capacity that include seating inside the lounge and social areas outside the space.

The renovation is expected to improve flow within the space and open up views of the playing field.  This was accomplished by providing a greater array of viewing options and encouraging a more social atmosphere. Shifting the location of the bar improves the flow inside the lounge, with a lot more standing tables inside. This allows fans to loiter about at tables, rather than always looking for a seat.

Seating capacity inside the Club Lounge increased almost 30%, with an additional 121 spots outside the club, bringing the total increase to 68%.

RESULTS

The fans have reacted very favorably to the improvements.
