Rich Speicher in the WMF Erie Office

Rich is an Architect and Principal with the firm and has held a leadership role in the firm for over 35 years. Rich has acquired an expertise in the design of financial institutions, hospitality and public facilities.

Rich has been the driving force behind the firm’s investment in technology and new practice methodologies. He seeks out and researches best practice in the AEC industry. Never one to say this is ‘how we do it’, he continuously researches the application of technologies and new practice methodologies to our business that results in quality assurance, process and workflow improvements across the practice.

“We are experiencing disruption as technological advances are applied to the AEC industry. This improves the process and is adding lean attributes to design and construction. Old attitudes pass reluctantly but the value proposition for Owners is undeniably beneficial. Regardless, of the tools, it still comes down to communication, collaboration, and trust among all team members.”

Rich and his wife MC are avid participant’s in Erie’s cultural scene. On any given night you could find them at a jazz festival, listening to a chamber orchestra, absorbing the latest art exhibit, or at one of the local not-for-profit fund-raising events.
