WMF teams with LORD Corp to help Grace House

The Erie City Mission’s Grace House, located in Erie, PA, is a long-term, therapeutic transitional living facility for single women.  In the summer of 2016, LORD Corp volunteers “crashed” the Grace House Backyard to transform it into an outdoor therapeutic garden.   The focus of the garden improvements were centered on Grace Houses’ mission to help transform lives. Outdoor settings were designed to include raised planters for horticultural therapy activities and passive areas such as quite private sitting areas next to a fountain. Through an intensive three day effort led by LORD Corp and designed by WMF, the Erie City Mission dedicated the “Graceful Backyard” on September 30, 2016.

“It was a fantastic experience for us and the reason we were doing it made it even more worthwhile.  The City Mission was speechless and could not believe the transformation.  Just what we wanted. Thanks again!”
