The Hamot Heart Institute is a partnership of Hamot Medical Center, Medicor Associates, Flagship Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgery and Cardiopulmonary and Peripheral Vascular Associates.
The primary goal was to establish an identifiable and synergistic entity to coordinate and manage the delivery of cardiovascular care throughout the region. Each of the upper three floors is occupied by one of the Medical Group’s practices, while the first floor has Hamot’s comprehensive cardiovascular program, combining preventive, diagnostic, therapeutic and long-term management of heart disease and its risk factors.
The design intent was to give the new Heart Institute its own identity, while respecting the existing context and architectural features of the Hamot Medical Center campus. |
